Origin and route

The itinerary utilizes the old route of the industrial train that linked the Catllaràs coal mines with the Cal Rosal textile factory. It was converted into a greenway for recreational use, preserving railway tunnels, bridges, and embankments. Its route follows the Llobregat valley through forests, industrial colonies, and mountainous landscapes of the Pre-Pyrenees.

The route passes through several textile colonies such as Viladomiu Nou and Cal Rosal, witnesses to the valley's industrial past. Nearby are the monastery of Sant Quirze de Pedret, the Pont del Pedret, and various viewpoints over the Llobregat.
